Ford Maverick: Ford’s Rugged Compact Pickup

Let the Ford Maverick Show You How Good a Small Pickup Can Be

Many people like the convenience of a compact pickup. You can load up home improvement items in the bed and tow a trailer. For some of our neighbors in Taylor, MI, a compact pickup can also be a work truck. Also, compact pickups are easy to get in and out of parking lots around town. Ford has brought back compact pickups again with the Maverick because many people prefer them.

Ford Maverick Performance

The new Ford Maverick is long on powertrain choices. The standard engine across the trim models is a hybrid with 191 horsepower and 33 miles per gallon on the highway. An optional gasoline-only, turbocharged four-cylinder engine gets 250 horsepower and 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Front-wheel drive is standard across the trim models, but you can choose all-wheel drive with the gasoline-only engine. The transmission is continuously variable across the trim models, but you can opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The standard Ford Maverick will tow up to 2,000 pounds around Allen Park and beyond, but the available tow package will get that figure up to 4,000 pounds. The tow package must be paired with the gasoline-only engine. You can haul up to 1,500 pounds of payload with the standard powertrain configuration.

Ford Maverick Design/Interior

On the exterior, the Ford Maverick has a multi-position tailgate for all your errands around Detroit. In the bed and the cab, you have an available 400-watt, 120-volt electrical plug to charge items on the road.

The Maverick is a crew cab in every trim model with four doors and seats five passengers. Ample cubbies and storage areas are provided, with the largest under the rear seating.

Ford Maverick Technology

With the Ford app, you can remotely schedule a time to start your vehicle, lock or unlock it and check fluid levels and your Maverick's location from your cell phone. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as well as an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen. A Wi-Fi hotspot is also standard.
